Want to message others on Facebook, but not "be on" Facebook? Here's how...

Many snowbirds would like to be able to send others quick instant massages (called "DMs") that can include pictures, text, links to events or other websites and the like but do not want to expose their information or be a part of the "drama" and stream of opinions, politics, and advertising that is Facebook. There is a way to just sign up for hte "Facebook Messages" app without creating or publishing a facebook profile.
